The "Synthesis and Characterization of Nanomaterials" (SCNM) division is responsible for conducting studies and research work on:

• The synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials (metallic nanoparticles, metal oxides, semiconductors).

• The synthesis of organic and hybrid nanomaterials (polymers, dendrimers, hybrid materials).

• The synthesis of nanomaterials for the agri-food sector (controlled release of nutrients, intelligent packaging).

• The functionalization of nanomaterials for specific applications (medicine, environment, energy).

• The synthesis of coatings and nanoparticles.

• The modeling and simulation of nanomaterials to predict and optimize their properties.
