Message from the Director
It is with great pride and a strong sense of commitment that we welcome you to the Centre for Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, established on October 1, 2024 by the Executive Decree 24-323 as part of the national strategy aimed at strengthening scientific research, fostering technological innovation, and developing high-level scientific expertise. Located within the Abdelhafid Ihaddadene Scientific and Technological Hub in Sidi Abdallah, our Center aspires to become a leading institution of excellence in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology, both nationally and internationally.
The Center is organized around four complementary research divisions dedicated to strategic and interdisciplinary areas of research :
Synthesis and Characterization of Nanomaterials
Nanomaterials for Energy and Environmental Applications
Nanobiotechnology and Nanomedicine
Nanophotonics, Plasmonics, and Nanoelectronics
Through these divisions, we aim to promote innovative and impactful research capable of addressing the major scientific, technological, energy, environmental, and healthcare challenges of our time. We are equally committed to fostering an environment that encourages advanced training, scientific creativity, technology transfer, and the development of strong partnerships with universities, research institutions, industrial stakeholders, and public organizations.
Nanotechnologies constitute one of the most transformative scientific frontiers of the twenty-first century. They offer unprecedented opportunities in fields ranging from energy and healthcare to electronics, advanced materials, environmental sustainability, and quantum technologies. Our Center is determined to play an active role in this scientific and technological revolution by mobilizing national expertise and supporting the emergence of high-impact research and innovation projects.
